The rumors are flying around about Favre’s retirement. Again. Is he just trying to find a way to get out of training camp? Or is the ankle really done this time? Or does he want to hang out with his dog and hunt? I think it would be tough to leave the sport coming up just short in the last game. Is it easier to leave with a Super Bowl win as
your last game, like John Elway did?
If he does really retire this year, that does leave an opening for a veteran QB to play in the dome. Does Kurt Warner come back?
Brett is great at manipulating players on the field. And he has become a pro at manipulating the media and fans leading up to a season opening. The NFL needs players like Favre that force everyone to have an opinion and talk about it. The Favre show is like The Bachelorette for ABC. It’s a polarizing show, but it performs. Brett gets fans and non-fans talking.
Love or hate him, the NFL needs players like him. Is he done? I doubt it. Once he heals up and can hobble on the field we will see another round of rumors.

[...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by In The Man Cave and In The Man Cave, In The Man Cave. In The Man Cave said: At least Favre didn't do a LeBron retirement show. There's still time: http://inthemancave.com/?p=1551 [...]
Dan Patrick this morning: Favre is like strong liquor to the media. We drink it up and do stupid things.
Favre will be back.
