Mr. Tony Starks is the coolest guy on the planet. He may have the ultimate man cave. He definitely has swagger with brains and money to back it up. Iron Man is movie that I can watch over and over whenever I want to get fired up and be glad to be a man. Nothing too complicated in the storyline. The cool nerd puts the hurt on the bad guys and gets the girl. I would have bought the movie on the way out of the theater and watched it again that night. Plenty of horsepower, firepower and manpower. Iron Man 2 looks like it will deliver more of the same.
This movie has an amazing cast. Robert Downey Jr. returns as our hero, Mr. Tony Starks, and he is rejoined by Gwyneth Paltrow as his assistant Pepper Potts. Mickey Rourke enters as the rival techno genius villain Whiplash. Scarlett Johansson is cast as the deadly, alluring Black Widow. Mr. Starks better watch his back. It’s really too bad that they couldn’t make it work with Terrence Howard as Rhodey, but Don Cheadle can be a great runner up. Samuel L. Jackson even makes an appearance as Nick Fury.
Jon Favreau directed Iron Man and returns for Iron Man 2. Let’s hope that he didn’t use an amazing cast to prop up a weak storyline. Give us more of the same and we will gladly line up for opening night.
