No doubt you have read and heard about the 3D craze consuming the consumer electronics industry around the world. While the hardware f rom 3DTVs to 3D Blu-Ray players are being heavily advertised at retail, there is little to no new content to view on your new 3D TV hardware. By the way, a 3DTV is a also an HDTV (regular 2D TV) in case you are wondering.
Times are changing. More 3D Blu-Ray content is expected for the holiday selling season and ESPN has publicly stated their intentions to broadcast several College Football and NBA games in 2010 and 2011. Sports in 3D is unlike any experience you have ever seen! For those that can recall their first time watching a football in HDTV versus standard definition and the WOW factor, 3D Sports is another moment in WOW factor.
Below you can see a list we have compiled that shows the various 3D Blu-Ray discs expected to come to retail in the coming months as well as 2011. In addition, we have compiled a list of the various 3D broadcasts planned by ESPN. In the US these broadcasts are available through DIRECTV and select Cable operators like Comcast and Time Warner.
