For men and women everywhere, here is a tip that you will Thank us for.   If you receive a random call to your mobile, home or office about sending roses to someone, hang up.

 The call usually goes like this.  “Hello, may I speak to (your name).   My name is Rodney (or some other random name). I am calling you as part of a special promotion that our new flower shop is offering.  We would like to offer you a free dozen “romantic” roses to send to anyone of your choice.   The only request we make is that you promote our flower shop to your friends and family.   Would you be interested in doing this promotion?”

The first red flag in this conversation is the words, “romantic” red roses.  When have you ever heard of red roses described in such a specific way by a florist?   If you choose to have this conversation with this caller and decide to accept the offer, you are most likely being set up by your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, or wife.   They have emailed a radio station to call you to determine if your latest behavior or lack of behavior is due to having someone else in your life.   If you accept the offer, the radio station will ask you if you want to add a message to the roses.   Once you start with the name of the person for your message and add a romantic message, you are either “caught” or have made your loved one very happy.  

Our advice is to simply hang up on these callers no matter how enticing or free they make the offer for the roses. You are being setup and should avoid it at all costs!!
