We recently were asked this question by several readers.  When is the right time to buy your lady flowers?

Men and women like to know that our significant other in a relationship or marriage cares about us.  No doubt that sending flowers for any occasion sends this message loud and clear.  Some very nice websites for these occasions include: 1800flowers, ProFlowers and bloomstoday. We recommend sending the flowers to her office or school, where appropriate because she will probably spend the most time near them, rather than at home.   This will double the value of your investment, since her coworkers and friends will see them.

So what are some of the occasions that our readers noted for sending flowers:

1. Valentine Day.  This is an obvious one.  If you want to either stay in the relationship or marriage, our advice is to send flowers, preferably red roses or whatever her favorite flower is.

2. Anniversary.  If you are dating and are in a serious relationship or married, send flowers for each year that you are together.  It’s tough enough in every relationship, every year together marks a major milestone.

3.  Birthdays.   While this might seem like overkill to some guys, flowers always make any present that much more appreciated.  Let’s face it, women like  flowers and the recognition that they symbolize.

4.  Just Because.   Flowers are always appreciated on frankly any occasion.  Maybe your significant other got a promotion, maybe she accomplished a difficult  task at work within budget and on time and received kudos from management, maybe you were just thinking about her and decided to send flowers… you get the idea.

And lastly, remember that flowers on Friday are ALWAYS cheaper than a divorce on Monday.  Trust us.
